Art in Pakistan: Living Life Within Life

5. January 2016, 0 Comments

I just let the artist speak:

“Everyone travels many stages of life from childhood to end of life. Countless changes occur during this span with the passage of time which, ultimately change our attitude, our habits of eating, drinking, dressing and our way of communication. It even affects our thinking and the thought process that in a later stage determine our priorities. Sometimes our toys and things around us at sixes and sevens or in a disorganized way look very charming to us, at times friends or a passion to do something in life attract us but our priorities and our ambitions change with every twist of life.”

My father said “When I am suffering from disease and worries or I am tired of travelling a long journey of life, then I feel some tranquility by indulging with children, that are always so innocent, and I feel happiness by spending time with them and there is always a smile caused after this activity.

I have tried to present in my paintings the way the time changes and the changes that occur in our life with the passage of time. In this pursuit, I have used images of toys, everyday life objects like utensils, clouds work I with sharp colours. My medium is oil on canvas and rendering is quite realistic.”
